02:36 23/09/2011 CHAPTER II STUDIO/BEHIND THE SCENES TRIVIA The drum kit in pandora's box (video) was the excact setup used in the recording, just without the fancy lights, and without the microphones. Chapter II ALSO took 5 years to make (as did chapter one) with some songs being born as early as 2001. "Final Love" is based on the piano piece on the chalcedony Impromptus album, which is not even 2 minutes long. It was improvised. Chalcedony was going to give up Chapter II completely at one point, almost writing off every song as unsavable in the mixing and mastering process, which took longer than anything else. There is no compression on the snare drum in "Pulse" There is no autotune on any of the vocals whatsoever, even though a few bits sound like there is, and no triggers on the drums (in either albums). All the choir harmonies are sung manually. Both Chapter One and II were recorded, mixed and mastered with only half a gig of memory in the computer, lol - oops. There were 2 tracks that didn't make it onto the final album. They were called "four times upon a man" and "lake lady". They exist and are recorded, and fit somewhere inbetween chapter one and two. There was also an intro that never made it. The intro to PULSE is actually called "The laughing nymphs" and was going to join into pulse as a 30-second song, but in the end it was joined as one and called "Pulse." The working title for Mechanical Wind was "My Heart", or "My Heart Is A Stone", but having the word "stone" twice on one album isn't good, so it was changed at the very last minute.
